What's New in v3.0 (PostyBirb+)

PostyBirb+ (v3) was completely built from scratch, taking the old features from v2 and improving upon them, while also adding many requested features that were not easy to do with the older version.

Should I Update?

Completely up to you! While my interest in updating v2 has dwindled a bit, I do not plan to abandon it yet, mostly due to it having translation support and it working for most people.

Fortunately,  you can have both v2 and v3 installed without too much conflict (for now).

Can I Transfer Stuff from v2 to v3?

Unfortunately, this is not something supported at this time. The way the data is formatted is completely different, and v3 wouldn't be able to easily access data stored in v2 due to some lame decisions back when I first made v2 :(

• Remote (ability to connect to another instance of PostyBirb+ over a network).
• Ability to create custom description shortcuts.
• New built-in description shortcuts:
  • {default} - injects the default description into a overridden description.
• Ability to create tag converters that convert tags when posted to certain websites.
• Ability for the app to scale down images to fit website requirements. (improvements pending)

• Ability to specify a template for a Notification submission during creation.
• Application events such as posting failures, successes, etc. can be seen in "App Notifications" window.
• Easier to create and manage Description Templates (for use in the description text editor).

Changes To Existing Features

Application Features​

• Posts now post to multiple websites at once, instead of in order.
• App data is now primarily stored in Documents/PostyBirb folder.
• App stays open in the background (in the tray) when the primary window is closed.
• Update request no longer "pops up" when starting.
• Different description shortcut formatting to avoid weird conflicts on some websites:
  • Old - :twminnownade:
  • New - {tw:minnownade}
• Renamed Journal/Status to Notifications.
  
• Easier to read posting Logs.
  
• Better Recreation of submissions from Logs tab.
  
• Login Profiles are easier to use and create now. No longer bundled under a profile name so you can use them however you want for posting.

• Tweets with more than 4 images now creates a thread, instead of just a new tweet.
